The excursion includes a visit to Kobe Tough Beads & Leather Factory, Ocean Sole, Opportunity Factory and Matbronze gallery. Lunch at Boho Restaurant or Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant before drop off back to the hotel.
Kobe Tough Beads & Leather Factory is a community of women involved in making ceramic beads and leather products. The factory had employed many women from the Maasai community with the aim to provide a much needed livelihood support for their families.
Ocean Sole recycles flip flops scavenged off the Kenyan Beaches into creative colorful art. This social enterprise has created jobs for thousands of Kenyans and contributes to vocational and educational programs as well as hosting weekly beach cleanup.
Opportunity Factory where local artisans display their artworks of paintings, leather bead work to locally stitched products. Matbronze Art Gallery & Foundry has a gallery for cast bronze and silver items with a café set in their beautiful garden.
