Enjoy a comfortable private transfer to your boutique hotel in Kigali, one of Africa's cleanest and most organized capital cities. Relax and prepare for your incredible 4-day gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. Overnight in Kigali with dinner on own arrangement.

After breakfast, explore Kigali with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a moving tribute to Rwanda's history and remarkable recovery. Learn about the country's inspiring journey of reconciliation and progress. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring Rwandan cuisine. Then drive approximately 2.5 hours to Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi, passing through scenic hills, tea plantations, and rural villages. Arrive at your luxury eco-lodge nestled in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains. Evening briefing about tomorrow's gorilla trekking adventure.

The highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast at 0630hrs, drive to Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and briefing by expert rangers. Join your assigned gorilla family group and begin your trek through bamboo forests and volcanic slopes. Volcanoes National Park is home to approximately 340 mountain gorillas (about one-third of the world's population). Trek duration varies from 1-6 hours depending on gorilla location. Spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants from just 7 meters away - watching them eat, play, and interact. In the afternoon, visit the scenic twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo or explore local markets in Musanze town. Optional visit to Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village (extra cost).

Day 4

Drive to Volcanoes – Kigali Airport

Day 4 - 1

After an early breakfast at 0630hrs, drive to Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for golden monkey trekking (included in package). Track these endangered and playful primates through bamboo forests - they're more active and acrobatic than gorillas, leaping between trees. Golden monkeys are endemic to the Albertine Rift and found only in Volcanoes National Park and nearby areas. After your trek and lunch, drive back to Kigali (approximately 2.5 hours) with scenic views of Rwanda's terraced hillsides. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight. Your unforgettable Rwanda gorilla trekking safari concludes.
