Day 1: Masai Mara; Sanctuary Olonana Camp

Take a flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and head for Masai Mara, One of mother nature’s most spectacular theaters. Famous for the wildebeest migration, you will experience this place from one of the most amazing camps in the Mara:

Sanctuary Olonana camp which is perched on a private stretch of the Mara river, putting it right at the heart of the action. Indulge your senses in the serenity that Olonana presents and the humbling majesty of the Masai Mara. A 2 night stay at Olonana are adequate.

Day 2 & 3: Bwindi Impenetrable forest, Sanctuary Gorilla forest camp.

Today you head out to Bwindi from Masai Mara. The flight from Masai Mara to Entebbe leaves at 0845hrs and arrives at 1130hrs. You will then take the afternoon flight to Kihihi airstrip and on landing, Sanctuary Gorilla forest camp guides will meet you and transfer you to the camp.

In the afternoon you can indulge yourself in an exhilarating walk through the jungle or visit the mystical Batwaa community who still live in Bwindi.

The next morning you will leave the camp early Tracking commences every morning at 08h30. The gorillas we track belong to one of the ‘habituated’ family groups in Bwindi. For several years each group has undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually made them used to the presence of humans. Experienced guides will accompany the tracking, many of who have been involved in the habituation process themselves.

Once the gorillas are located, the group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. On completion of your trek return to camp and the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

This will be the end of your adventure or you may choose to stay a bit longer because this place is that special.
